Ngizwe Mchunu continues to make waves on social media after leading a group of people wearing their traditional Zulu attire inside Mugg & Bean restaurant in Gateway mall, Durban, on Heritage Day.

In a video posted on X, former Ukhozi FM radio host Mchunu is seen with a group of people wearing Zulu traditional attire talking to the people about Heritage Day and unity.

In this video, Mchunu is also leading the traditional song.

When the security tried to escort him out, Mchunu is seen talking to them, even insulting them.

This is not the first time Mchunu has caused a disruption in a restaurant. He recently made headlines where he led a traditional Zulu dance inside a Nando’s restaurant.

Mchunu's actions in the video have caused a heated debate on social media, with many users condemning his behaviour as inappropriate and unacceptable.

X user @virtual_Skhwili said Mchunu is wrong to disturb people in the name of “Zulu”.

“Kodwa usenephutha uMacingwane uma esezophazamisa abanye abantu ngamabomu, athi ubafundisa ngesintu sethu, ekubeni bengahlangene naso. Uyawaphazamisa amalungelo abanye abantu ngegama lika Zulu. (But Macingwane is wrong if he is going to disturb other people on purpose, saying that he is teaching them about our culture, when they have nothing to do with it. You interfere with the rights of other people in the name of Zulu).“

Another X user @unisa_student said Mchunu should have been arrested for trespassing.

“But Durban is not Zululand he should've been arrested.”

Another X user @MargaretDinga wrote: “Has anybody told him that you don’t force people to accept your culture or anything for that matter? Instead you build more resentment. I bet you he knows nothing about my culture & he is black.”

@mlumbatha on X said: “This guy is threatening peace and stability in our provinces. uphehla udweshu ngegama lokuthu uyafundisa. (He stirs up trouble with the claims of teaching).”
