LONG summer nights are the perfect setting to plan an outdoor date night for your and your spouse or significant other at the Galileo open air cinema.
This February, Galileo will be spreading the love with a host of romantic movies being screened at venues including Kirstenbosch and Stellenbosch. Some romantic favourites include Love Actually, The Proposal, The Notebook and Pride and Prejudice.
Added romance under the night stars can be created with picnics and meals from local mini-market vendors.
Ticket prices for the open-air cinema vary. Aside from paying for entry to the screening, your ticket price can include a backrest, blanket, popcorn and themed novelty snacks or items.
Tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day special will be a screening of the romance movie, Notting Hill at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate near Stellenbosch. The tickets cost R250 per person and includes a backrest, blanket, live music, welcome drink, a sweet treat and some romantic decor.
Tickets are limited, so booking in advance is essential.
