Forte Wolfe Studio dancers are polishing their moves for their festive show, titled “Christmas with a Twist”.
The dance studio’s students, teachers and choreographers will be performing in various genres, including modern, contemporary and hip hop.
The Christmas showcase will be hosted at Bergvliet High School’s Auditorium on Saturday, December 3 at 7pm.
Forte Wolfe Studio was founded in June last year by Cape Town choreographer Byron Benjamin. The group has performed on “Expresso” and “Afternoon Express” more than once and has competed in regional competitions.
Taymah Herman, 18, is one of the group’s dancers and said she was excited to perform in the show.
“I feel amazing! I enjoy spending time with the other dancers partaking in the production. I am excited to learn new things as we prepare for the showcase,” she said.
“I cannot wait to share my gift with the audience and hopefully inspire them to go after their dreams,” she added.
Benjamin said he chose to host the show to highlight the talent and abilities of their dancers and teachers.
“I have a deep passion for shows and productions, and that plays a big role in compiling our dance and movement shows and productions,” he said.
“We will take our audience on a journey of reminiscing with fond memories of their favourite carols, laughter, joy and so much more,” he said.
He continued: “We take pride in creating experiences that our audiences will always remember and this show will do the same.”
Tickets for “Christmas with a Twist” can be purchased on Webtickets. The tickets are R100 pre-sold and R120 at the door.
