South African businesswoman Mbali Sebapu, is expanding her beauty brand Hermosa Flor by launching a new haircare brand for children, Heirmosa Kidz.
The beauty content creator who gave birth to her first child earlier this year, wrote in an Instagram post: “Hair care is important for babies! While their hair may be soft and fine, gentle care can help maintain its health and prevent issues like cradle cap, tangles, and breakage.”
The brand will soon launch its debut collection, the Honey Shea haircare range specially formulated for children’s hair needs.
“The Honey Shea range was designed with the delicate needs of babies and children in mind, promoting healthy hair and maintenance. Infused with natural ingredients like honey and shea butter, this product line aims to nourish and protect young hair from environmental damage and dryness.
“Together, the ingredients are used to create a gentled yet effective formula that supports the overall health and vitality of children’s hair, making it easier to manage and style,” Sebapu said.
She added that she chose natural ingredients because of their benefits on delicate scalps.
“These products aim to moisturise, soothe and protect. Honey, known for its humectant properties, helps retain moisture, ensuring your baby’s hair remains soft and hydrated.
“Shea butter adds an extra layer of nourishment, rich in vitamins and fatty acids that promote healthy hair growth and scalp health. The formulas are typically free from harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances and dyes.”
The launch date is yet to be announced.
