Local rapper and podcaster L-Tido recently used his podcast to do a “character analysis” of popular music producer, DJ Maphorisa.
This comes after Maphorisa recently went on X to insult Sir Trill, who was on the “L-Tido” podcast where he called out the DJ for owing him money.
L-Tido ended up catching heat when Maphorisa swore at him and his mother in the post.
L-Tido hasn’t taken kindly to Maphorisa’s actions and recently took to his podcast to spill some piping hot tea on the “Manzi Nte” hitmaker.
But wait, that’s not all ... L-Tido also took the opportunity to called out “Podcast and Chill” co-hosts, MacG and Sol Phenduka for taking jabs at him in various episodes of their podcast.
Back to Maphorisa, L-Tido said: “He’s disrespecting people’s mother’s. He’s consistently being called out for robbing people’s money ... So today, we are going to have a character analysis on DJ Maphorisa.”
After putting up a picture of Maphorisa and referring to him by his government name, “Sonnyboy”, he continued: “This is a guy who clearly got his first girlfriend when he was famous. No girl will touch him, look at him.”
L-Tido called out Maphorisa for just about everything he’s done wrong in the industry.
“You consistently, for years, f**ked over artists, and you think you can get away with it.
“You are in R20 million debt with Sony ... Didn’t you have a case last year. You have a case cos you beat up women ... You a coward, you only offend women. You’d rather swear at my mother than me, right?”
L-Tido then called Maphorisa a “despicable, disgusting human being”.
“The way you’ve been carrying on, you are cancer to this industry.”
He said that his podcast has never been about negativity.
Diverting his attention to MacG and Phenduka, he said: “After the Sir Trill episode, MacG commented saying we don’t want to offend people ... This is a platform where we give people a chance to speak and express how they feel.
He went on to discuss how MacG and Phenduka commended him on his podcast not so long ago, yet always take jabs at him on “Podcast and Chill”.
“Let me started this with love. MacG, your podcast is dope. Podcasting is big in SA because of what you did in the game, you’re numbers are crazy...
“But when you show me the love, I’m thinking, me and you, we good, but I’ve watched your podcast, you mentioned our names like four to five times, and it’s never in a good light.
“Let me deal with Sol too ... you guys keep on taking jabs at our podcast. Our podcast is about letting people come in, I’m not a shock jock like MacG, I just tell real stories. No one is doing better interviews than us.”
He asked MacG if he is mad because all the guests that MacG wanted on “Podcast and Chill”, chose to go to the “L-Tido” podcast.
He mentioned celebrities like the late AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Sir Trill and Mawhoo.
“I’m confused bro, you are doing well, why you worrying about us? Let it be known, are we beefing or are we at war?”
“We all know that without Sol, that podcast will crumble. That’s the backbone of your podcast, if Sol leaves, it’s over for you, curtains!”
