UNATHI Nkayi has been the talk of the town after she made an appearance on “Podcast and Chill”, where she opened up about significant moments in her life, including a shift in her music career and the end of her marriage.
In her chat with hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka, Nkayi shared that her decision to step away from house music was heavily influenced by a conversation with her ex-husband, musician Thomas Msengana, also known as Bad Boy T.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2009 and divorced in 2017, have two children. She revealed that she had tried everything in her power to save their marriage before it ended.
Nkayi didn’t shy away from discussing the role Somizi Mhlongo played in her departure from “Idols SA”.
According to her, Mhlongo, who had taken a break from the show amid abuse allegations, influenced her dismissal. This revelation added another layer of intrigue to her story, considering her history with Mhlongo as a former colleague and friend.
The episode featuring the former Idols judge proved to be a hit. The radio presenter took to social media to celebrate a major milestone for the podcast episode, which now has over million views on YouTube.
Expressing her gratitude, Nkayi shared a screenshot of the impressive view count and thanked her supporters and the podcast team.
