Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa and Mnqobi Kunene return as the leads in season two of Mzansi Magic’s hit show, “How to Manifest a Man”, on September 16
Produced by Barkers Media, who brought viewers “Shebeen Queens” and “The Bala Family”, the new season offers a whirlwind of deceit, manipulation and shocking twists.
It centres around Dudu (Mbali Mlotshwa) and her unhappy marriage to her husband Simphiwe (Kunene).
In a bid to turn their tumultuous relationship into marital bliss, she decides to take fate into her own hands after her husband suffers memory loss.
Determined to reshape her spouse into the ideal partner, Dudu then embarks on a journey to mould him into the devoted man of her fantasies but Simphiwe’s unfaithful tendencies proves to me a massive challenge for her.
Meanwhile, her quest also unlocks a web of complications such as a determined detective, a relentless lover and a blackmailing witness.
The rest of the cast includes Gaisang Noge, who plays Simphiwe’s love Ntombi, Lucia Mthiyane as Dudu’s mother Felicia and Peter Sephuma as Sam Snr Ngonyama, among others.
According to “TV Mzansi”, season two is all about revenge.
This is as the end of the first season ended on a cliffhanger as Dudu, driven to desperation, shot Simphiwe and his mistress Ntombi.
Despite the bloody consequences of her actions, Dudu’s powerful family ensured that she faced minimal consequences.
The online publication added that season two picks up with Dudu emerging from a retreat as she presents herself as a changed woman.
But soon the harsh reality of losing everything she worked for hits her, including her husband, her CEO title and her coveted Most Influential Woman award.
Dudu is also still obsessed with her ex-husband and pretends to have moved on while secretly using dark manifestation to manipulate Simphiwe into betraying his new partner and coming back to her.
∎ “How To Manifest A Man” season two premières on Monday, September 16, at 8pm on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161).
