Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in signing Sweden-based midfielder Luke Le Roux to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
Amakhosi entered the new season aiming to recover from a disappointing 10th-place finish in the previous campaign, however, things have not gone according to plan.
They are currently in seventh place in the league, having earned only 15 points from 11 matches. The club's Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, who was roped in to help turn things around, has made it clear that he wants to strengthen the squad.

According to Soccer Laduma, an insider close to the situation has disclosed that Amakhosi are considering the possibility of signing Le Roux.
“Even if we say they have the money to bring him back home like they did in the past with players like Bernard Parker, Tshepo Masilela or even Keagan Dolly, it will all depend on the player himself whether he wants to come back home or not,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.
“It will be interesting to see what happens with him in January and Chiefs are crossing their fingers to at least sign a player that both management and the technical team agree upon.”
Le Roux previously played for SuperSport United and Stellenbosch United before moving to Sweden. He is currently signed to IFK Värnamo, who compete in the top tier of Swedish football.
The 24-year-old's impressive exploits in the colours of IFK Värnamo have also seen him being rewarded with a Bafana Bafana call-up coach Hugo Broos. He has five caps Bafana caps to his name.
