Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has praised Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng for his impressive performances in the Betway Premiership.
The 20-year-old Mofokeng has been one of the league's top players since being promoted to the first team. He has been instrumental in Pirates' success in cup competitions in recent years.
Mofokeng has also played a key role in the Buccaneers' impressive run in the Caf Champions League. They have reached the quarter-finals after topping their group without losing a single game.
In an interview with AmaFansWethu on YouTube Kolisi praised Mofokeng for his abilities and added that he has also heard that the youngster has attracted interest from abroad.
Last year, Mofokeng was heavily linked Spanish giants Barcelona and Scottish giants Rangers.
“It’s amazing I am already hearing people overseas are interested in him,” The two-time World Cup-winning captain said.
“That's what you want and that's, why PSL is so special. It's special because it creates platforms for all of us who come from backgrounds that there was no way you thought these opportunities would come. It also shows once you take your opportunity, once you have been given it, how hard he is working,"
Kolisi expressed interest in seeing Mofokeng's future contributions to Bafana Bafana as his career unfolds.
“You also going to say, what Pirates have done is good because he is obviously where he is so I am proud of him and I can’t wait to see what he can do in a Bafana jersey. We are going to see what he is going to do there and hopefully he(Mofokeng) can chip in,” Kolisi added.
