The cat is finally out of the bag after Roc Nation Sports International announced the signing of Cape Town City FC starlet Emile Witbooi.
The 16-year-old Witbooi, who is considered one of the brightest footballing stars in the country, has quickly risen through the local football ranks in recent seasons, with the 16-year-old’s natural talent, work ethic and playmaking ability having captured the attention of scouts and fans alike.
Towards the end of last year, Witbooi spent time in England after attracting interest from Premier League teams, including a one-month evaluation with Chelsea’s youth team before returning to Cape Town City.
The decision to join Roc Nation Sports International marks another significant step in the burgeoning career of the young athlete, placing him alongside a roster of world-class athletes such as Kevin De Bruyne and Vinicius Jr.
