Some of the nation’s biggest musicians are set to ring in the New Year as part of SABC1's 15th annual “Last Dance Music Festival”.

The musical extravaganza, which will be held at the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, from 9pm on New Year's Eve, will also be broadcast live on the public broadcaster.

The event will be hosted by renowned media personalities Siphesihle Vazi, Luyanda Potelwa Mroza, Njinji, Luyanda M and Justice Kubheka.

It is proudly brought by Mbawula Investments in partnership with the Msunduzi Municipality as well as SABC 1, Ukhozi FM, Isolezwe and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.

Meanwhile, fans can expect electrifying performances from Mthandeni SK, Mawhoo, Sjava, Zee Nxumalo and Dlala Thukzin.

They will be joined by Usimamane, Aymos, Blaq Major, Khuzani, Focalistic, Ayanda Ntanzi, Ugatsheni, DJ Happy Gal, Goldmax and Babes Wodumo, among others.

In addition, Pietermaritzburg’s Dura, Stibobo, Cheese, Lucy Ly, Vince Da Major, Nkanyiso, T-Munny, Luvandi, Mycpo, CatC and Da Soul will also take to the stage.

Mbawula Investments’ Sipho Ndaba said that they are thrilled to offer Mzansi a memorable event this New Year’s Eve.

Ndaba added that last year’s festival injected almost R92 million directly and indirectly to Msunduz’s economy.
