Five athletes will be in action for Team SA, at the Paris Paralympics on Friday, with three possible medals up for grabs.
First at 10.20am in the para judo will be Ndyebo Lamani as he takes on Argentina’s Eduardo Gauto in the men’s 73kg J1 elimination round of 16 at the Champ-de-Mars-Arena on mat two.
Next up will be Collen Mahlalela at 11.20am in the men’s 400m T47 round one, heat one at the Stade de France.
The first of Team SA’s medal chances will come at 7.31pm, in the men’s 400m T62 final. South Africa will have two chances of bagging a medal with Paul Daniels and Daniel du Plessis both lining up at the Stade de France.

Last medal hope
Away from the track at the Stade de France, Simone Kruger will provide Team SA’s last medal hope of the evening, in the women’s discus throw F38 final at 8.32pm.
On Thursday, it was a bittersweet performance from visually impaired swimmer Alani Ferreira as she missed out on a medal but set two new African records. First, Ferreira set a new African record in the SB12 100m breaststroke in her morning heat with a time of 1:21.95, before going even faster in the final as she touched the wall in 1:21.36.
However, her new personal best was only good enough for fifth place. Elena Krawzow of Germany set a new world record of 1:12.54 on her way to victory over three seconds ahead of her closest competitor.
