The Jaguar Heritage Centre has entered a team of classic Big Cats in this year's Eifel KlassiK regularity trial, to be run from 7-9 June on the mountain roads around the legendary Nurburgring in Germany.
No less than three of the cars were once part of the Royal Household - an imposing XJ12 Series I and a graceful MkVII, both once used by the Queen Mother, and an XJS driven by Diana, Princess of Wales.
Also entered are a Series II E-Type, an XK150 and an XK120, the latter having just returned from participating in the Mille Miglia.
700KM IN THREE DAYS
The Eifel Klassik attracts a variety of heritage vehicles to route that takes in a demanding mix of roads in the Eifel region of Germany covering more than 700km in three days. The competitors will start at the Jaguar Test Centre at the Nurburgring, taking in lap of the iconic Nordschleife before heading out on the public roads.
The Jaguar Heritage competition programme was launched in March this year and its cars have already taken part in the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique - which was won by a C-Type! - and the Mille Miglia in Italy.
It has also entered both C-Types and D-Types in Nürburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix from 10-12 August and the Goodwood Revival from 14-16 September, and Jaguar Heritage cars will also be on show at a number of historical motoring events, including the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
