The newly crowned Miss South Africa 2024, Mia le Roux, recently received her brand new car, a Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé, which is valued at at least R1.36 million.
Miss SA 2024, le Roux received a number of prizes as part of winning the title, which she will make use of during her reign.
“I am so excited and I am going to have all the fun in the world with this magnificent car.”
“I am so thankful that it is such a safe vehicle with so many in-built safety features and I know I will have so much fun driving it this year.
“It is truly special to me because my Oupa was a Mercedes man and I am now driving a Mercedes so it is really a beautiful full circle moment,” le Roux said.
Her prizes include a R1 million cash sum, a fully furnished apartment developed by the Tricolt Group, and of course her new car.
The Mercedes CLE is a newly released two-door model that went on sale in South Africa in March 2024.
Priced between R1.36 million and R1.44 million, it serves as a replacement for both the C Class and E Class Coupe models.
It is available in CLE 200 and CLE 300 4Matic guises, the latter featuring all-wheel drive, and both are powered by four-cylinder turbocharged mild hybrid petrol engines with respective power outputs of 150kW and 190kW.
The CLE is available with a wide range of advanced features, including the latest Mercedes MBUX infotainment system that has a 30.2cm central display.
The Coupe model also boasts avant garde sports seats and a 64-colour ambient lighting system.
All-important safety features include seven airbags, front and rear park assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and stability control.
A deserving recipient
le Roux won the hearts of many South Africans as the first differently-abled person to win the pageant.
Many felt that she is the exact representation of giving hope to other people out there living with disabilities.
Le Roux is a symbol of hope and inspiration to many out there who are different and who also want to break barriers just like she did after winning the Miss SA title.
