Former Miss SA hopeful, Chidimma Adetshina, has taken to Instagram to reveal she has finally touched down in Nigeria, her father’s homeland.
In her recent Instagram post, she shared an image that shows her in a car holding a bouquet of pink roses and balloons, she captioned it “Hello Nigeria’’.
Adetshina has been thriving since accepting an invitation to participate in Miss Universe Nigeria. The pageant contestant shares that her goal is to win the crown and that looks promising since she is still leading on the voting polls with 13,284 votes, representing Taraba, a state in Nigeria named after the Taraba river.
This week, South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs gave an update about their probe into Adetshina, after a preliminary report found there was prima facie evidence that her mother may have committed identity fraud in 2001.
Home Affairs officials told Parliament that they were working with the Directorate of Priority Crimes Investigation (the Hawks) had now identified the three officials, one of whom has since passed away, who were responsible for recording Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina's birth in 2001. The investigation continues.
Meanwhile, in the recent video of Adetshina landing in Nigeria, the video shows the 23-year-old dressed in a stylish outfit that screams effortless chic as she’s being interviewed.
She shares her excitement about being back in Nigeria since the last time she was in the country was 20 years ago, when she was just three.
‘’I’m just really excited that I’m in my father’s land and I wanna get to experience more about it.
“It's been 20 years since I’ve been here, so I just want to know more about the culture and where I really come from“, said Adetshina.
