Tensions appear to be running high between the stars of the KwaNjomane reality show, Simangele Mhlongo and her son Sibonelo Mhlongo, popularly known as Chicken, following financial disputes.
The situation took a dramatic turn when Mhlongo, alleged that her son Chicken was withholding access to the money earned through their shared comedic venture on YouTube.
Mhlongo’s infectious energy and comedic timing, along with her memorable character "Maka Chicken", captured the hearts of viewers, leading to several TV acting opportunities that would not have been possible without the duo's joint efforts on the channel.
In a live video, Mhlongo has unleashed a shower of accusations against her son, alleging that he is carelessly spending the income from their shared YouTube channel while neglecting to contribute towards household expenses, such as bread.
"I love my son, but he insulted me when I asked him to be transparent about the money we're making through our YouTube page. Each time we're fighting, he insults me and posts nasty stuff about me on social media,” she said.
The actress also shared in a TikTok video that her son speaks to her enemies every time after they have a fight.
“How many times have you apologised to me after talking to people who don't even greet me? Insult me in their homes?” Mhlongo asked.
