American singer-songwriter and record producer Chloe Bailey has delighted her fans by putting her own spin on Tyla's latest hit, “Push 2 Start”.

In an endearing gesture to usher in the new year, the 26-year-old shared a video of herself performing the song, captioning it, "Couldn’t go into the new year without giving you guys a little gift."

Demonstrating her artistry, Chloe infused the Afro-pop track with an interpolation of PartyNextDoor's “For Certain”, showcasing her versatility and commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

Her captivating rendition prompted an outpouring of appreciation on social media, with one user proclaiming, “You’re the master of covers. And it’s been YEARS.”

The buzz surrounding Chloe's rendition has amplified calls from fans who want her to explore the Afro-pop genre further.

“She should do music like this and Afro beats; it clicks,” commented a supporter. Another fan eagerly anticipated a collaboration between Chloe and Tyla, declaring, “Next album, we need a collab @chloebailey × @tyla, and we ain't negotiating.”

Released in October, Tyla's “Push 2 Start” has quickly made waves in the music industry, attaining the coveted number one spot on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

This impressive feat came at the expense of Tyla's previous hit, “Water”, which reigned atop the chart for an entire year.

“Push 2 Start” isn't the only success for Tyla; three additional tracks have secured spots in the top 10, solidifying her status as a formidable force in the Afro-pop sphere.

With “Truth or Dare” landing fourth, “Jump” featuring Gunna and Skillibeng in fifth, and “Art” at ninth, Tyla's influence is clear.

Chloe’s sister, Halle Bailey, is also making headlines with her own covers. In November, the star of “The Little Mermaid” performed a heartfelt rendition of Mariah Carey's iconic “My All”, inviting her nine million Instagram followers to suggest her next song.

Halle's musical growth has been evident, having previously covered Sabrina Carpenter's “Please Please Please” in July.

The Grammy-nominated Bailey sisters first gained recognition in 2008 through their YouTube channel, Chloe x Halle, where they showcased their vocal prowess with covers of notable hits, including Beyoncé's “Best Thing I Never Had”.

Their talent captured the attention of Beyoncé herself, leading to a record deal with her management company, Parkwood Entertainment.

In recent interviews, Chloe has expressed enthusiasm about reuniting musically with Halle after both sisters took time to explore individual careers.

“I know she has a lot going on, and I'm so proud and excited for her, so I cannot wait for us to finally piece together the body of work we've been talking about for so long,” Chloe told “People” magazine.

The Bailey sisters made a triumphant return to the stage together at the Fashion Awards 2024 in December, an emotional performance that ignited excitement among fans.

“It felt so special … and I can't wait to do that again with another album,” Chloe revealed, signalling that more musical treasures are on the horizon for enthusiasts of the iconic duo.
