Durban - Three people were killed in a crash on the N2, north of Durban, on Monday morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Dylan Meyrick said multiple vehicles had been involved in the high-impact head-on collision near bridge number 12 on the N2.

“Unfortunately, all three occupants of the vehicles involved were declared deceased on scene by paramedics on arrival,” Meyrick said.

“The scene is still active, awaiting steps and forensics to the scene.

“Traffic is still badly affected in both directions.”

Earlier, Meyrick said IPSS Medical Rescue, together with advanced life support paramedics, were on the scene of a multiple-vehicle crash on the N2 near bridge number 12, by the Amatikulu River.

Reports from the scene had indicated that there were multiple fatalities.
